I know what you mean about insurance but I have declared it anyway so if there was a problem it should be covered.

As a matter of interest, did they consider it a modification and was your insurance premium affected?

They have it down as "decorative changes" and no it didn't affect the premium ...

Without sounding like a killjoy here, l'd question the safety side of using that wrap around hosing in your engine. If you had an engine fire it would probably add to the problem, and god knows how an insurance company would act if they found out after a fire. Bet they'd give it every effort to say ...

Not got one myself but ive heard that they are quite good.
As you say transmit data from obd to software on your smartphone, there are a few apps available, some free some not but I'm sure the payed ones will be free from errrm "alternative sources"
